I don't like to talk about it, but I was created by a few guys filled with dreams of worlds, stories, and games yet to be. Heck... I'll just let them talk a bit.
I like to make things - especially many small streamlined things that when put together can create something so much more than the sum of their parts. Simple combat mechanics with deep uses married with story/thematic reasons (like FF10) - or having actual gameplay accompany the story we tell (FF6 Opera anyone?) - This is what I want to make.
JRPGs, especially Final Fantasy IX and X, are the reason I’m a writer today. So much of that storytelling magic has disappeared over the last decade-and-a-half, and it’s my goal here at Four Ends is to return the JRPG experience to the storyteller, not the digital effects department. My highest aim is to recreate that magic and deliver a JRPG that isn’t just a bundle of tropes bound by a trite battle system, but an experience that feels both instantly familiar and like you’ve discovered something brand new.
I do many things too.
I represent the ghost of team members to come.
